the patient

thanks everyone for the well wishes for the soul mate - he is in hospital overnight & the operation was a success - although it took longer than expected. Happily he is on the mend now. But me - I have to spend the night without him - I know I should be excited (and I am to a certain extent) but I feel odd, strange - to be without my mate. I know I will go to bed, read and snuggle down - but all night I will feel like something is missing.

Hernias are no fun. My hubby has been through this too. Glad Joe is beyond the op now and on the mend. He'll be sore for a while! He sounds like a real sweetheart the way he was there for you when you went through the cancer treatments. I'm sure he knows how much you appreciate him :)

Glad everything went well with hubby. Know you are very happy and bet he will be one pampered mate for a few days.

Glad Joe is okay - now for some special 'Ms Robyn' home nursing. He may not ever want to return to work, you know.

Good morning ms*robyn ~ I hope your night wasn't too hard without Joe by your side.
Best wishes to Joe for a speedy recovery, and I hope he is back home soon!
My Mark had a couple of hernias that were operated on, and boy was it a sore time for him!

I'm glad your husband is on the mend now. I know just what you mean about spending the night alone when our husbands are away for any reason. Not pleasant for sure.
