ms*louisas' wedding ~ July 30

today we are off to see about the flowers. Ms*louisa is thinking of having a bunch of lillies for her bouquet. They will look gorgeous but I am a little hesitant because of their tendency to drop bright yellow pollen. A disaster on a white dress ! Our friend, Peter is doing the flowers for us. He was a professional florist before he retired, competing in world wide competitions as well as doing some floral work in Buckingham Palace, many years ago. We are going to his home this morning and having a chat about all the options as he will be doing table decorations for the reception as well.

In all honesty, you appear to be so calm throughout all of this "mother of the bride" stuff. Most moms go nuts, but you seem on top of it.

I'll have to take tips from you when our kids get married! ;)

well Melissa, it is still 12 weeks til the wedding & I am sure the jitters will set in. Ms*Louisa is a very organized young lady so she has everything under control..hope she continues to be like this right up to her big day

Wow, Buckingham Palace! I'm sure all the planning will pay off 'big time'.

I hope it all went well yesterday with the Florist. Any decisions made? I actually had a gorgeous bunch of white lillies and white rose buds in my wedding bouquet ~ and I didn't really have any problems with the yellow pollen.
