Name:
Location: Katoomba, NSW, Australia

here I am in a little cottage that evokes the energies of my ancestral lands - a cottage on the moors of Cornwall, or on the cliff tops of Ireland or Scotland. It has a hearth. I am a hedge witch {of sorts}. I wear upcycled clothes, patchouli oil and Redback boots. I am a gypsy; an eccentric and a mystic [I often live with a foot in two worlds]. I serve my guests, tea from an old silver teapot. I love Vervain, yarrow, chamomile & mint. Star watcher and Moon gazer. story cloth weaver. keeper of family dreams and wishes. good friend and creator of life. herbal tea drinker and potion maker.

Plan ahead and dream of all the beautiful things that life has to offer

living ~ July 14

didn't do a whole lot today - took two big bags of 'stuff' to the op shop * called in for a cup of tea with a friend and this afternoon I took a book into bed and read for a little while. My soul seems to be weary right now and just to have a nap does me good.
I am battling to get on with the wedding quilt * It needs to be finished by end of September so that I can have it quilted and then have enough time to put the binding on. It is gorgeous & well worth all the work that has gone into it !

Taking it nice and slowly and having little nanna naps during slow times ~ is great and I often go through such times...
Do you think you could post a pic of the quilt - if not now, when it's finished? I am going through a quilting craze at the moment and would love to take a peek at any of your work! :)

Oh you're into quilting? I love quilting, tell me something do you hand sew or machine sew and do you cut the fabric with scissors or use a rotary blade with a board? I'm just curious, btw I love op-shopping too, it's my favourite past-time. You can pick up so many vintage & retro bargains.

Amy ~ I do both kinds of sewing. I love to applique. When I do piece work, I use my sewing machine. When I cut strips or squares, I always use a rotary cutter & board. Of course applique is cut by hand. I usually quilt by hand but the wedding quilt is going to be machine quilted.
