here I am in a little cottage that evokes the energies of my ancestral lands - a cottage on the moors of Cornwall, or on the cliff tops of Ireland or Scotland. It has a hearth. I am a hedge witch {of sorts}. I wear upcycled clothes, patchouli oil and Redback boots. I am a gypsy; an eccentric and a mystic [I often live with a foot in two worlds]. I serve my guests, tea from an old silver teapot. I love Vervain, yarrow, chamomile & mint. Star watcher and Moon gazer. story cloth weaver. keeper of family dreams and wishes. good friend and creator of life. herbal tea drinker and potion maker.

ms*louisas' wedding ~ July 13

I am the mother of the bride & among my job description I get to make the wedding cake.
I finally found the fruit and today I will soak it in brandy.
Another of my tasks is to find some church pew decorations ~ of course, I have absolutely no idea what kind of decoration to go with ~ me, being me * am leaning heavily toward something vintage, but I don't think ms*louisa *the bride* is that into vintage....so the search is on

Oooh a wedding - how exciting. Is there any way you could ask the Bride directly what her thoughts are for the decorations? She may into into some sort of theme...

Amy * the bride has no idea and has left it up to me ! I think we will go with fresh flowers of some sort. It is a traditional wedding and I would love to have those old fashioned wishbones or horseshoes but the bride says no..... and there is nothing worse than a stressed out bride to be * so we keep the peace * smile & agree

October is considered autumn over here. Not sure exactly if it is there.......Imagine big, fluffy tulle bows (tres chic and inexpensive)tied around fragrant eucalyptus sprigs, larkspur and baby's breath. Maybe a few strands of "pearls" dripping down?
I "practice" wedding in my head all the time cause I have a daughter approaching marrying age tooooooo soon.
I enjoy reading your daily snippets.....you lead a charmed life such as I aspire to.
