just wondering

how many blogs you have in your favourites list and how many you actually visit regularly. Last count, *which was last night* - I have 68 favourite blogs and I don't visit them all. Some I try to visit daily, others I catch up on and some have come into my life at one stage but have faded out over the time. I know there are regulars who visit here and I thankyou. I know there are some who just read and don't post - welcome and enjoy.... but to make my life simple - I am going to start decluttering my favourites list..........please don't take this the wrong way - my regulars will still be here for sure but the ones that have faded away...well - I know that daily parcels has changed over the past year and may no longer be what YOU want or enjoy.
I believe that people come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime - and to each and every one of you - I thank you for whichever reason you are in my life. x0x0

Hmmm I have 35 blogs listed in blog lines, but there are more just stored on my puter that I check on everynow and then. It is hard. I like the links list, but like you sometimes think maybe I would be better removing it incase I offend anyone by not having their name there. But then the other side of the story is I love clicking on blog links that others have and have found many friends that way. Ahhh decisions, decisions.

I totally agree with you, btw that reason, season or a lifetime poem was suppose to be my next post - funny you've done that too. lol
I understand what you mean by decluttering, I have about 20 favourites that have changed over the years. I do understand if you ever want to take mine off your list, no worries. *hugs*

I haven't counted mine, but I do look at my favorites list each day, even if I have to stay up late doing so! Ms*Robyn, thank you so much for putting together the vintage swap. It was as much fun sending as it was recieving! Thank you!

I have several 'Favourites' lists containing all those blogs on my Links list, plus many more. In fact, I rarely access the blogs through the Links but usually use the Favourites. I have an Aussie list which are the ones I visit every day, and then there is Aussie Seconds which I visit less often, maybe once a fortnight. In the same way I have an Overseas list and Overseas Seconds. I also have a Photo Blogs list - they are ones who just post photos and I look at them occasionally.

As you say, there are some that come into your life at a certain stage, and then that stage passes - much the same as friends in real life.

Sometimes I will save a new blog to a favourites list so that I can go back and read it when I have more time. Sometimes this happens, other times not.

I could delete the Link list but one reason I've left it is that I hope others may find new blogs through it, as I have found through other Link lists. Most of my new contact come through the comments columns now.

I guess I'm just greedy - I want to meet everybody in the world!!!

I read my blog list everyday but am guilty of not posting a comment each time. I also have blogs in my favorites that I read a few times a week. I go through both lists every few months and remove or add. The blog list is there for easy access for me but also for anyone wanting to read new blogs and maybe make a new friend. Its up to each person if they want to have a list or not and I don't think anyone would be offended if one of us took our list off our blog.

You speak for most of us, Ms Robyn! I spit my links into two lots - Stitching buddies and Other buddies, purely for my own reasons. But I also have more blogs on my Explorer Favorites list, and I click on every link of those who comment on my blogs. Like you, I worry about hurting people's feelings if I drop their blog off my lists, but I just can't have them ALL listed! Although I do get to visit most of them anyway, going around the traps via my regular blog visits. Fun, isn't it! LOL at Alice - want to meet everybody in the world!!!

We never want to hurt our closest friends, and somehow it seems that the blog friends we meet are dearer to us at times than our friends in everyday life. I think we all understand that the lists are dynamic, changing with time, so it's a good thing to dust them off now and then. I have been thinking the same thing lately, but realized that I at least read all of them everyday, even if I don't always leave a comment. Such decisions!!!!

I check those on my links list pretty much everyday - they are the blogs I love to read, and enjoy catchingup with. It sure does take some time though!
I browse around a bit too, and when I find a blog I like, I link it - simple as that :)

You do what you must...I check about 60 blogs during each week..All unique and enjoyable. I don't always comment..Yours was the first of the vintage homemaker type blogs that I found and you opened up a whole world of great blogs that I was unaware of. I will always be thankful for your encouragement to me when I was getting started on (4:53 am) ..

dear ms*robyn, this is a beautifully stated post...realizing change happens as life goes on, yet your view is gracious and charming, while getting to the heart of the matter. Favorites lists can get quite long too and time is ever fleeting. I sometimes pick just a few to visit a day, and yet know I miss many special people sometimes because I don't have a very good memory. I admire this post...and will understand when changes come..blessings to you!
