vintage pastimes ~ dressmaking

I would love to make myself a skirt out of a vintage curtain or maybe a gorgeous old tablecloth! teamed with a favourite vintage cardi & my hair up with a diamante clip - vintage chic
must go and look at Laraines' shop today to see if there is anything I like

I love the look of vintage chic Robyn, and what a great idea of making a skirt out of vintage curtain or tablecloth...I have a vision of you in my minds eye already!
Wish I could sew more than just a straight line...what fun.
I'm waiting on my basic new sewing machine to arrive just so that I can start sewing basic shabby throws and pillows ~ I should be able to manage those ;)

This is such a good idea, I've actually found great vintage cloth online at either ebay or tradme (nz) - it depends where in the world you are really. Also another place to look are in op shops (thrift shops).
