housekeeping ~ June 20
Winter must be the season of the soul ~ the warmth of a fire * soul warming stews and soups * vintage chenille dressing gowns * slippers and a cup of hot cocoa ~ what more can a vintage girl want?
daily musings of a vintage addict * I am totally obsessed with all things vintage * trying to keep up with my past...and sometimes ordinary everyday life
here I am in a little cottage that evokes the energies of my ancestral lands - a cottage on the moors of Cornwall, or on the cliff tops of Ireland or Scotland. It has a hearth. I am a hedge witch {of sorts}. I wear upcycled clothes, patchouli oil and Redback boots. I am a gypsy; an eccentric and a mystic [I often live with a foot in two worlds]. I serve my guests, tea from an old silver teapot. I love Vervain, yarrow, chamomile & mint. Star watcher and Moon gazer. story cloth weaver. keeper of family dreams and wishes. good friend and creator of life. herbal tea drinker and potion maker.

You have to be one of the coziest folks I know...and love yesterday's post too.
So glad to be getting to know you!
I think winter is the season we spend time cozying up in our homes. I love when it's cold and windy outside (hardly ever happens here) and I can put dinner in the oven and light a fire.
June 20 - I have a vision to buy a large old house relatively close to the coast but also in the country (is there such a place?). I'd like the family to be able to go there at any time and feel they could actually do things if the urge takes them, like paint a room, make a garden, sew some cushions, or whatever. Yet I rarely visualise this house in the summer, Spring maybe, but it's usually the winter with rain and wind and me safe inside by a fire with a book and lots of cushions and smell of food cooking. I think I must have seen a place like that in an old 'Australian Country Style' magazine. My family are all in favour of us buying such a place but we haven't found it yet. Of course, the other consideration is MONEY!
