Location: Katoomba, NSW, Australia

here I am in a little cottage that evokes the energies of my ancestral lands - a cottage on the moors of Cornwall, or on the cliff tops of Ireland or Scotland. It has a hearth. I am a hedge witch {of sorts}. I wear upcycled clothes, patchouli oil and Redback boots. I am a gypsy; an eccentric and a mystic [I often live with a foot in two worlds]. I serve my guests, tea from an old silver teapot. I love Vervain, yarrow, chamomile & mint. Star watcher and Moon gazer. story cloth weaver. keeper of family dreams and wishes. good friend and creator of life. herbal tea drinker and potion maker.

Plan ahead and dream of all the beautiful things that life has to offer

housekeeping ~ July 4

as usual - bathrooms and main bedroom - change the sheets. I do love to change our sheets - I vacuum the mattress and spray the cover with lavender water. I am partial to pure white sheets. In the past few months I have been on the hunt for vintage pillow slips and instead of buying new ones, I now have a lovely mismatched collection of roses * stripes & even some vintage laced edged creations * pure vintage delight !
It is really lovely when I have finished * to light the tea lights and have my bedroom so warm * and snuggly ~ a peaceful place to escape

I just love the fresh smell of clean sheets & pillowcases. I know what you mean about the bedroom being a wonderful place to escape to.

Sure makes for a romantic hide-a-way. I've got our sheets in the washer now...and will hang them outside. It's hot as blazes and they'll dry in no time!

Have a good one!
