Location: Katoomba, NSW, Australia

here I am in a little cottage that evokes the energies of my ancestral lands - a cottage on the moors of Cornwall, or on the cliff tops of Ireland or Scotland. It has a hearth. I am a hedge witch {of sorts}. I wear upcycled clothes, patchouli oil and Redback boots. I am a gypsy; an eccentric and a mystic [I often live with a foot in two worlds]. I serve my guests, tea from an old silver teapot. I love Vervain, yarrow, chamomile & mint. Star watcher and Moon gazer. story cloth weaver. keeper of family dreams and wishes. good friend and creator of life. herbal tea drinker and potion maker.

what on earth is the world coming to

and I am not talking the real world - I am talking blogging world. This is a rant, so don't read any further if you don't want to hear it. I feel so passionate about this, that I just had to post it.
I read lots of blogs and sometimes the posts are ones that I don't agree with * that's fine. I just don't leave a message. Some of us believe in God, others don't * that's fine too - if I find a kindred spirit in the blogger -buddhists and hindus * fine, each to their own. I still visit whatever their beliefs and sometimes comment, but I am never rude. As long as the number 666 isn't emblazoned all over the blog. I don't talk politics either - we all have our own opinions on that too and that's fine.
But when one of my blogging friends starts to receive hate emails for what she has written on her blog about her likes and dislikes in the vintage world * asking her who she thinks she is and saying she doesn't have any friends - well I see red and I tell you, it is not nice. I am scary
How dare anyone, read someones blog and send an anonymous hate email if they don't agree with what is said. why visit and why read the blog in the first place? Coward too, anonymous of course.
get a life.
love you Doll ! x x x and you are loved - just you wait and see !!
and then there is Alison from brocantehome - receiving hate emails from an anonymous man telling her that she is leading us all up the proverbial path, like she is some kind of vintage housekeeper pied piper ....
like I said
* what on earth is the world coming too?*

There are some really sick people around, no doubt about it. I am fortunate (touch wood) that I have never had any hostile emails or messages on my blogs, or relating to them, and I would not do that to someone else. As you wrote Robyn - we can just read them and move on.

It all reminds me of that evil little campaign that some prepubescent girls wage against another. It happened to my daughter in the 6th grade. My daughter has always been bright, beautiful, multi-talented and envied to the point it bordered on criminal. She was a sad, tormented, terrorized little 11 year old girl who would beg me to quit my school nurse position to home school her. Of course, as a single mom, I could not but I had to try to protect her however I could which only made it WORSE! We finally learned that ignoring the bullies worked the best. To this day, I smile...not so secretively, when I see these same girls and *their moms* who lived the same way when they were young. They are still ALL stuck in their narrow little ruts in the same little country town while my daughter is living the good life and getting an AWESOME education in the 18th top ranked university in the USA! The best revenge is plain old living better...being happier, more content, and letting the pigs wallow in their own muck and mud. My favorite saying, repeated often and well, "Never wrestle with a pig. You both get filthy......but the pig loves it."

I guess some people lead such pitiful lives, they have nothing better to do than put others down.

There are some who won't be happy until everyone is as miserable as they are - they're to be pitied really...

It just goes on and on...whether in reality or on our computer screens. I can't work these idiots out, and I surely don't want to either.
There will always be the knockers. Most of the bloggers I have been fortunate enough to 'meet', including Dolly, Alison and Ang ~ are strong, vibrant, busy and beautiful women...who will keep on keeping on, regardless of these losers.

Idiots like that are best ignorned. Maybe they are jealous that we, who chose this life, are happy and content and don't want to chase our tails in the never ending race to have everything.

Personally I shall go on receiving inspiration from you and Alison and all the other blogs I read.

Hugs

Catherine

My goodness, I can't believe all of this...how sad, this person must have a very sad existance to go out of there way to do such things...I have heard this happening on forums and such. Too much time on their hands perhaps!! Well, we will stick together..that is for certain!!!
