Location: Katoomba, NSW, Australia

here I am in a little cottage that evokes the energies of my ancestral lands - a cottage on the moors of Cornwall, or on the cliff tops of Ireland or Scotland. It has a hearth. I am a hedge witch {of sorts}. I wear upcycled clothes, patchouli oil and Redback boots. I am a gypsy; an eccentric and a mystic [I often live with a foot in two worlds]. I serve my guests, tea from an old silver teapot. I love Vervain, yarrow, chamomile & mint. Star watcher and Moon gazer. story cloth weaver. keeper of family dreams and wishes. good friend and creator of life. herbal tea drinker and potion maker.

... and then next week the winter clothes will be in the shops.

Don't you hate it when you've just gotten used to the current season, and think that you might buy some clothes, only to find that they've all gone and the racks are full of clothes for the next season?

Not sure when Easter is this year but eggs and buns already is just tooooooo much!!

Indeed? That's just unblievable! It'll not start here before February. I hope ha ha

What's with the bush fires near Sydney that they show us here in the news? Are they anywhere near you? I'm hoping that they're not and that you'll get rain and cooler air soon! Fingers crossed!

Sorry to read that you've had such a hot day on your birthday too. Here it's the other way round, it's normally the coldest day of the year on my b-day at the end of January.

Even the Easter Bunny cannot keep up! Your card makes me laugh! All those guys running...yet we are the ones holding the chocolate eggs!

It is positively obscene. Simply more proof that even sacred events these days are driven by money and commercialism. Easter isn't until the middle of April (I know, because my birthday falls smack bang in the middle of Easter this year), and shops should not be allowed to stock this kind of thing on their shelves until March at the earliest. What kind of message does this send to children? Same as Christmas - buy, buy, buy.

Easter eggs are already appearing on UK supermarket shelves, too. I don't understand the rush but it does make a change from Christmas which appeared in August.

Nooooo!!!!!!
Just yesterday Mark and I were saying that the Easter Eggs will be out yet, and I silly girl that I am said no, not before Valentines day!!
Oh my goodness, has the world gone MAD?
Consumerism is trying to dictate more and more the way we live. ENOUGH already.
I for one refuse to get sucked into the craziness.

Isn't it just ridiculous? I object well and truly to this crazy consumerism. Does anyone actually buy their eggs this early??
