here I am in a little cottage that evokes the energies of my ancestral lands - a cottage on the moors of Cornwall, or on the cliff tops of Ireland or Scotland. It has a hearth. I am a hedge witch {of sorts}. I wear upcycled clothes, patchouli oil and Redback boots. I am a gypsy; an eccentric and a mystic [I often live with a foot in two worlds]. I serve my guests, tea from an old silver teapot. I love Vervain, yarrow, chamomile & mint. Australia Day

My grandpa always said - don't discuss politics or religion with friends and I try to adhere to that advice most times but I am a royalist & I won't apologzie for that - many don't agree with me but each to their own. That is what makes our country such a wonderful place to live - we can all have our own opinions and mostly it is accepted without too much arguing. So to all my Australian friends - have a wonderful holiday today and wave our flag with pride.
Pictured here are my two grandsons - Jack on the left & Thomas on the right. Enjoying an icecream at grandmas (that's me), the day after we arrived home from our cruise. Priceless, don't you think?

Happy Australia Day to you too! I haven't actually been, but I'm sure it's fantastic (although having seen David Attenborough talking about the redback spider, it has put me off slightly!). Your grandchildren are adorable :-D

Happy Australia Day to you too, Robyn! I have just put a patriotic spiel on Patra's Other Place about our day here, which we always celebrate like our own birthday. I wouldn't call myself a Royalist, but I'm certainly not a Republican either. I am happy with the way our beaut country is right now. (Waving flag wildly!)

Happy Australia Day Ms*R...we were a little disappointed that miss*dollie was invited to a party which was all afternoon in a park, our plans had been to go to Circular Quay and soak up the atmosphere - we had a nice afternoon tho - we stayed to have a bbq with the hosts so I suppose it was very Australian! hope you enjoyed your day! dollx
