But I love choosing and making presents and wrapping them nicely and I love getting nice gifts too!

You know each year I feel like I cut back and am trying to get back to the place of helping the less fortunate.

I feel like I can honor both the true meaning and have a little fun with gift giving.

Having said that...I think people should celebrate Christmas in a way that makes them happy so this idea is good also!

oh, I don't think it means buy nothing at Christmas - more make things from what you have. I buy gifts too - I just loved the website - thought provoking for me

the meaning is to give from your heart I think. If its storebought, homemade, or just a good deed.. if its given from the heart with love then its given in the true meaning of Christmas

I spent about half an hour perusing that site, Robyn - even printed off a couple of the posters to show people! The best Christmas Days I have ever had were with less fortunate people - one day in a nursing home, and another helping the Salvos with homeless people.
