spoiling my*self for Christmas
SallyJean at Christmastime
daily musings of a vintage addict * I am totally obsessed with all things vintage * trying to keep up with my past...and sometimes ordinary everyday life
here I am in a little cottage that evokes the energies of my ancestral lands - a cottage on the moors of Cornwall, or on the cliff tops of Ireland or Scotland. It has a hearth. I am a hedge witch {of sorts}. I wear upcycled clothes, patchouli oil and Redback boots. I am a gypsy; an eccentric and a mystic [I often live with a foot in two worlds]. I serve my guests, tea from an old silver teapot. I love Vervain, yarrow, chamomile & mint. Star watcher and Moon gazer. story cloth weaver. keeper of family dreams and wishes. good friend and creator of life. herbal tea drinker and potion maker.

Those are so cute! Gosh some people are so talented when they make stuff like this.
Just looked at the pretties on Sally Jean's site. I recognized that the charms are soldered. Very nice job by the way *smile*. What I'm wondering is if there is any lead in these. Regular solder does contain lead. You can buy and use a lead free solder but its very tricky to work with. Before anyone buys...it would be a good question to ask...does the solder contain lead? Just my thoughts on these pretty things. I made myself a gorgeous (i think) brooch of cobalt blue glass only to be told I shouldn't wear it because the solder contains lead.
oooh, what pretty things!
