Location: Katoomba, NSW, Australia

here I am in a little cottage that evokes the energies of my ancestral lands - a cottage on the moors of Cornwall, or on the cliff tops of Ireland or Scotland. It has a hearth. I am a hedge witch {of sorts}. I wear upcycled clothes, patchouli oil and Redback boots. I am a gypsy; an eccentric and a mystic [I often live with a foot in two worlds]. I serve my guests, tea from an old silver teapot. I love Vervain, yarrow, chamomile & mint. Star watcher and Moon gazer. story cloth weaver. keeper of family dreams and wishes. good friend and creator of life. herbal tea drinker and potion maker.

housekeeping ~ September 5

This week, I have decided to forget the routine! gasp, shock, horror! I am actually life lagged right now...guess its similar to jet lag. So, instead of my normal routine, I am going to spend the week, cleaning out cupboards and drawers, doing a mountain of hand washing and generally puttering and tidying. And I am going to read and sit and ponder. The house won't fall down and the world won't end AND I am sure the family will cope....but will I ?

I'm learning the same thing at the moment too Robyn, what's the worst thing that can happen if I don't get something done? Nothing, the world is still going to be there. Take some time out, relax, have a scented bubble bath and some chilled wine.

Such a good idea ~ there's sometimes truth to that saying, "a change is good as a holiday" so enjoy your week, and Amy's ideas sound great too!

Excellent idea. You definitely need to do this after your busyness the past weeks.

Enjoy, sweet friend!

Well, I'm not surprised you are lagging with all of the things you have had to worry about it, and all of the partying you've been organising too! I think you totally deserve some time out. Oh, and I'm glad you got my postcard - they've been travelling so quickly! Be kind to yourself ok?
