About Me
- Name: Miss Robyn
- Location: Katoomba, NSW, Australia
here I am in a little cottage that evokes the energies of my ancestral lands - a cottage on the moors of Cornwall, or on the cliff tops of Ireland or Scotland. It has a hearth. I am a hedge witch {of sorts}. I wear upcycled clothes, patchouli oil and Redback boots. I am a gypsy; an eccentric and a mystic [I often live with a foot in two worlds]. I serve my guests, tea from an old silver teapot. I love Vervain, yarrow, chamomile & mint. Star watcher and Moon gazer. story cloth weaver. keeper of family dreams and wishes. good friend and creator of life. herbal tea drinker and potion maker.

I'm sure you'll love your new kitchen - new paint = new lease on life.
The kitchen I always loved and wanted was the one featured in the English TV Show "The Good Life", with Richard Briers, Felicity Kendall, Penelope Keith and Paul Eddington. Do you remember it? I loved it for being big, light, airy and always cosy and welcoming.
Two years ago I changed my kitchen/familyroom from the very 70s dark brown and bright orange (faded to pale apricot) cupboards and light green walls to white cupboards with dark green granite tops, purple walls with green cornices, white trim and one white wall in the familyroom with white cupboards replacing open shelving. We tore up the carpet and replaced it with green vinyl. It looks and feels like a totally different room.
Talking of kitchens, did you ever get a chance to read the piece I sent you about our kitchen on the farm - 'The Heart of the House'? That was a room that changed with the painting.
Your house sounds like mine. I love color and every room is a different one. My bedroom how ever is many shades of white. It has a calming effect.
We would love to see your kitchen when it's done. It sounds lovely
Gotta ask...did your BIL paint it white? And I second what Gina said...photos!!!
